A cracked needle

we all have been there, a knitting needle breaks and we are half way in a project.  What to do, what to do?...

I'm in the middle of a KAL (knitting along), organized by a team of Chilean knitters to promote to the world Chilean designers.  There are so many options, you can choose small things, big things or anything as long as you choose a pattern from a Chilean designer.  This proposal came to me almost as an accident, I actually found out about it because I started to hear a few Chilean Knitter’s Postcasters, recommended by my Mexican Comadre (partner in crime, in this case Knits).  The registration are done, but this is only for the raffle prizes, but you can participate still and just tag on Instagram #cachaielkal Insta account - @cachaielkal.
Going back to my participation, I decided to do it with one of the designs of Susana Lobos, called Latifolia Cowl, part of the Leslie Collection (only available as a whole collection) on ravelry, soon to be released as a single pattern.  The problem is that I have no other knitting needle in that size, it is not a size that I usually use, so I ended up ordering from Knit Pick which will come sometime in the next 10 business days.  🙈

Which brings me to my next point, I recently visited The Knitting Loft, here in Toronto.  Store that carries not only yarn but a whole lot of resources for knitters and crocheters.  I ended up spending way too much, way more what I thought I would spend, but to tell you the truth I feel no shame about it, since the stash was amazing!

I got into their subscription mail and have received a promotion that tomorrow they will have a sale online for 20% off and on Sat they will have in store the same sale to celebrate their 3rd B-day.  So, maybe I will go for a bit to find the needle that broke so I can keep going with the Kal, I kind of need reassurance on that, lol
